Strange creepy insect dream...any ideas on what this could mean?

I dreamt that this little black bug would crawl out from under my skin and I kept trying to kill it before it could crawl back into my body. My family was there and they said the purpose of these bugs was to go into your body and fix what was wrong with you. They could tell by looking at this bug that there was something wrong with my heart and the bug needed to get in and fix it. But I was afraid it would ruin my heart and I would die. So I kept trying to kill it but it would come back to life and keep trying to get under my skin. After what seemed like forever I gave up and let it in and everything was fine.I had made a big deal out of nothing. ---in real life I am dating a man with emotional walls, I broke up with him because of it and he has just come back into my life and I am giving him a second chance because he is completely opening up now. I am so happy but scared at the same time...
