Am I over weight?

I am a thirteen year old girl who is 5 feet 5 inches Weighing give or take 130 pounds I lift weights weekly and do exersices 4 times a week would I be considerd overweight? People are constantly saying I fat normally when people call me something I don't give a crap but being called fat really gets under my skin so if sombody could tell me for sher that I am nnot fat that would help because then I would know and it should not get under my skin anymore THANKS

Reply:Whoever is calling you fat is STUPID. You're at a good weight, but if you're worried about it, try doing some cardiovascular exercises, such as jogging, jumping jacks, jump roping, swimming, etc. Do this for about 30 minutes a time 3-4 times a week.
Reply:No. You're not fat. Is it peers that are calling you fat? Kids are cruel. You might not be a stick, because of muscle and genetics, but you're not fat.

well if you wanna know if you are fat, then pull the side of your stomach, and if you can grab some meat, then you might have some fat on you. look at your thighs or butt and if they are a little bit jiggly then maybe you may some fat on you too.





sounds like you are keeping yourself active with exercise tho, so you might be fit.
Reply:You sound very healthy to me. You are in the weight range you are suppose to be in for your height, you exercise weekly, you sound healthy. Don't worry about what other people say either!! They are just jealous because you are more fit then they are. Just continue to do what you are doing, be healthy, and love yourself.
Reply:You are probably not overweight. If you exercise for 5-8 hours a week, that is something that would make you sweat in 60 degree weather, and eating decent, you should be fine. Focus on eating 5 fruits/veggies every day, and having 3 servings of milk. Try not to have more than 2 "bad snacks" a day. (Bad snacks are a serving of chips, cookies, Chef Boy R Dee spaghetti %26amp; meatballs, etc). If obesity runs in your family, you might want to talk to your doctor about your weight and how to approach your adult life as healthy as possible. Don't listen to people who only want to criticize you.

but dont worry a little extra weight is fine especially if you're active, its probably just the way ur built. and plus u may grow more and that may thin u out a little (it did w/ me)
