Having a very rough C-section with a very flaky ob doctor I have had problems from day 1. During the CSection which lasted a total of 8 minutes from open to close I was treated very rough. Almost like the doctor was trying to win a race or something and the bed was actually moving all over while they were stiching me up very roughly.
Day 3, as i was being discharged from the hosp I began to get this EXTREME hot oil burning sensation right under the skin and right below my insision. I told them and was told to go home, it would get better. Now it still burns, just as hot. It has been to the point i have been bed fast and can only leave the bed when carried by my husb.
Now 3 weeks later. My topical incision was sewn with dissolvable stiches and has healed nicely. but now the (supposed) dissolvable staples that are under the skin are very hard and are starting to poke up through my top layer of skin. they hurt and when i sit you can see every one of them trying to poke through.
Serious question, csection complication?
THIS IS NOT NORMAL.
I have never heard of disolvable staples in my 6 years in Theatre.
Although you guys in the USA are ahead of us.
This guy is a nut. Sorry. But he has no real idea of what he is doing and should not be treating you or any other woman.
GO AND SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR ASAP.
Even if there were 'new disovable staples' yes they would have started to disolve by now.
You also have an infection probably caused by the staples. And this needs treatment RIGHT NOW. Maybe even IV anti biotics as it sounds severe.
The hospital and Doctor are all incompetent for discharging you and not providing you with basic health care.
If he is offering to reoperate he KNOWS he has stuffed up.
Rushing along a C Section is very common as they try and beat each others times.
Really sick to me.

Honey .. get yourself to a specialist at a different hospital/clinic and have an unbiased evaluation. Don't waste your time asking questions here ... your health is too important.
I had a C-Sect go wrong over 30 years ago, and I so wish I'd gotten a 2nd opinion back then!
Reply:I do think you need to see a.s.a.p another gynecologist there should be no metal staples under your skin, never heard of such rubbish (I had a CS myself) this is what i found about stitches.
When do the stitches come out?
A variety of dissolvable and "permanent" stitches, as well as surgical stainless steel staples, are used. Permanent skin sutures will not dissolve and will be removed in your surgeon's office. Most are removed in five to seven days, with remaining sutures removed in a week to 10 days. Staples, if used, generally are removed between 7 and 10 days. Dissolvable sutures come in several varieties and will disappear on their own. Each class of dissolvable suture has a predetermined time that it lasts before it disintegrates.
I found lots of questions on this subject on other discussion boards:

even nurses discuss it

From what I read you might have a serious problem and you do need medical attention, if he wants to do surgery again this might botch up and cause you a huge scar. Have another obstetrician check you out. Good luck.
Reply:Sweetheart get to the Dr. asap! The staples should've been on the outside of your skin and the stitches on the inside! I've never heard of dis-solvable staples. I've had three c-sections, my sister had one 2 yrs ago and my best friend had one 1 1/2 yrs ago. Your body is rejecting the metal in the staples, just like if you had a bad piercing. You probably have a serious infection going on.
