I've had these small little "balls" inside my skin by my ear for quite some time, maybe a few months already. They don't get bigger, cause any pain or move. They're just there. Just a week ago, the area right under the jaw %26amp; under the ear started swelling on both sides of my head. The right side is alittle bigger then the left. The swelling or the "balls" aren't visible from the outside but i can feel them under the skin. Yesterday, my throat started hurting out of no where and it hurts alot today, its hard to swallow. My head has just started hurting also.
I called my doctor and explained all this to her and she prescribed me an antibacterial medicine. Not sure of the exact name yet.
Has anyone had these symptoms before and can anyone give me some advice as to what i might have?
Thanks!!

My aunt had the same symptoms like yours before. It was called lymphadentitis (in my aunt's case). It's when your lymph nodes (which filter your blood) come in contact with bacteria. So it engulfs the bacteria and when it doesn't excrete it immediately, it swells. After my aunt drank antibacterial medicine, she became fine, so just follow what your doctor prescribed :)

Sounds like you have swollen glands. (I am not a doctor, just lots of experience since childhood). Where you explained that you feel the lumps is where you have some lymph glands and is very common with sore throat, cold...
Hope this helps,
Jacqui
