How do you get rid of milia under the eyes and on the cheeks?

I believe that in my family, it's somewhat genetic. My mother, now in her 60's, has had them for years and they only got worse. One of my brothers has them as well. The three of us had acne/bad pimples as teenagers.

Now that I'm in my 40's, I'm getting more and more of them. I went back to work a year ago and began wearing makeup again. Other than that, I had worn makeup sparingly over an 11-year period. My skin has always tended towards being oily and I still get an occasional pimple. However, are there any products that I can use, that are safe in the eye area, to help get rid of them?

If not, and I must visit a dermatologist, is it considered cosmetic surgery? My insurance doesn't cover cosmetic surgery..

Finally, how much does it hurt AND is it possible to do a have a bunch of millae removed at the same time? I'm asking more in terms of generalities rather than specific insurance plans. Personal experience with the procedure would also be helpful.

Thanks so much!

you need more essential fatty acids in your diet. Try taking flax seeds, or cod liver oil. they really help.
