Why dont guys like me? they only have interest in girls under 5'2...?

Hey...im in 8th grade, i got to an all girls school but we have a "brother", all guys school that we have events with and dances with but, guys NEVER like me...!





Im a very light skinned Black girl, thin, 5'5, and i've been told im pretty but thats beside the point





guys NEVER dance with me and I think its because im black and i live in a predominantly white neighborhood but all my friends say its because im tall. I feel REALLY left out at school because i never get invited places to hang out and guys only like short girls

I think it's probably that you don't put yourself out there, I had the same problem and I realized that guys aren't attracted to beauty alone, just talk to them. I mean, seriously, imagine walking up to a guy that you've never talked to before and saying 'you wanna dance?' You've got to see it from their point of view, just starting making some guy friends.

Reply:It's most likely that many people are intimidated by you because you're a minority in the schools. It's very common for people to be intimidated by something at a lower age, especially 8th grade. I think you need to take a date to the dance. If you can't do that, then I suggest talking to the guys there yourself, actually going up to the guys, and asking if one of them wants to dance.

Reply:Boys your age are short and you are probably taller than a lot of them at this point. They might like you and think you're pretty, but dancing with you, they would feel short and that makes them feel like less of men. They'll grow and you'll get your chance soon! You should ask one who's already taller than you to dance, I'm sure he'd love to!
