How old are Boa constrictor imperator neonates when they first shed their skin?

I have six neonates born 24/6/07 and i wondered how long it is usually to the first shed and how long to the first feed?

They are from two boa consrictor imperator and it is the first time of breeding.

The male is three years old and just under 6 ft the female is the same age and slightly longer at 6 ft exactly.

The male is 50% salmon pink %26amp; 50% normal colours the mother is normal.

Seven snakes were born in total with three slugs.

One was still born and was salmon pink.

They will shed the first time 1-2 (sometimes 3 for late bloomers) weeks after they hatch but to get this to happen you need to make sure the humidity is good or it will take longer and stunt the growth. Please start boa's off on Prue-killed food. For smaller snakes its OK not to (like ball pythons and corns) But for an animal that can get to the size that it can kill a human child or even a man this MUST be done! Hope you have fun with your new friends. And I am sorry about the salmon pink. They are so pretty. Hope I helped. =)

i am not sure cause i stay as far as possible from snakes.wish i could help.
Reply:They should shed within 2 weeks. They need to be kept in a higher humidity level than the adults to ensure they shed well. The day after they shed, you can offer the first meal. You can try pre-killed or f/t, but usually for a first couple meals, they will only take live. Once they have had a couple live meals, they will readily switch to f/t.
Reply:Young snakes shed every 3 or 4 months, and should eat a pinky or fuzzy ever 7 to 10 days.
