There's a thing ?

I just realized a bump under my skin inbetween my leg and m y genital, just like around my bikini area. I can feel the bump under the skin and then I was able to scrape at it a little bit and puss came out, then it went down, but I can still feel a bump under the skin. My bf and I are sexually active, but this is the first time I've had this. Anyone have any opinions? I am not under insurance right now. I just thought I'd get some opinions. Thanks!

Could be an ingrown hair as the previous answerers say. If it hangs around and gets worse, like it expands it could be a problem. There are many things that can happen to the body down there because it is a moist environment and a good breeding ground for all types of bacteria. It could also be a boil (you did mention pus and not just hair and follicle) BUT because of the presence of the puration I would be more prone to thinking it might be a carbuncle. Here is some info on that from Wikipedia. This is something you may have to get antibiotics for because the pus suggests evidence of a bacterial infection. Don't mess around with this, if you feel the least bit uncomfortable, go to a free clinic and get it checked out.

Reply:probly an ingrown hair. dont fret...they usually take a couple of days to go down. try puttin an antiseptic spray on it. itll sting but itll clear it up. n squeeze it first....make sure theres no puss then use the spray

Reply:Don't worry about it too much. As already mentioned, it's most likely just an ingrown hair. If you shave often, ingrown hairs are more likely to occur, especially 'down there.'


It should be gone in a few days.
